The Advanced Search of BLLDB provides you with more precise results than the Basic Search.

How to use the Advanced Search

Entering search terms and configuring Boolean Operators

1.Choose a bibliographical category from a list field (Free Text, Author/Ed./Coll. etc.) for a search term.

2.Enter your search term into the corresponding input field.

Repeat steps 1. and 2. to enter additional search terms.
If you enter more than one term into one input field, the operator "AND" is automatically activated.

3.Choose a Boolean Operator (and, or, and not) for each input field in order to combine search terms across different input fields.
You can, for example, look up works of an author which contain information on a certain person, search for publications by different authors or exclude works whose titles contain certain keywords.
